Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco and ASDA have declined to comment, but our sources suggest, ‘They be salty’.

But check out the fat, saturated fat, and salt in a serving...!

I may have to pop down the street and give one a try.
I do like Holland’s and Pukka pies from my place. Finding a good pie can be harder than many think.

My favourite store-bought pie brand is probably Higgidy - the ‘limited edition’ Steak and Red Wine Ragu they’re doing at the moment is fantastic - but they’re usually a little too pricey for me, so I only partake when an offer’s on. Pukka pies are a good all-rounder, and I quite like Sainsbury’s own-brand range.

Invariably I’ll eat a Ginsters or a Peter’s when I’m in a hurry.

I generally go for the Ginsters slice, though it’s been a while. They used to do a surprisingly good tandoori chicken.

I’m more a peppered steak guy.
Holland’s Guinness pie and steak slices are pretty tasty if available.

Oooh, that sounds good.
When I want a peppered steak slice, I generally go for the Sainsbury’s deli option. They’re molten inside, but bloody tasty.
Ah... I don’t miss the work, but I did like having a supermarket employee discount card.

I’m well placed for supermarkets I’ve a Lidl, Aldi, Coop and a Sainsburys within four streets of me. Sadly the deli at Sainsurys was damaged in the floods but should be up and running soon.
The work is okay. It’s managers and section leaders that have no idea how to run a bath never mind a store that get on my t1t. I get through the evening with one amazing mantra:
“you can’t cure stupid so why worry”.
